Olmert's wife and daughter to demonstrate against Gaza op?

Unfortunately, Ehud K. Olmert is still the Prime Minister of Israel.

On Friday, a coalition of 'womens groups' plans to protest against Israel's operation in Gaza.
A broad coalition of Israeli women's groups is organizing the first large demonstration against the IDF's counter-terror operation in Gaza, "Cast Lead." The demonstration, which organizers believe will be "huge," will take place in Haifa Friday and will call on Israel to accept the international initiatives for an immediate ceasefire.

The organizers number 18 groups, including the Coalition of Women for Peace (itself a coalition which includes groups like Machsom Watch and Women in Black), Ahoti, Ruach Nashit, Isha L'Isha, Bat Shalom, The Organization for Women's Economic Empowerment, Women's Parliament and other groups.

In a letter to Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, the women's groups demanded an immediate cessation of hostilities in Gaza. "The masculine way of killing and destruction must stop and give way to women's language and action for peace and dialogue between nations," they wrote.
Aliza Olmert (pictured with Abu Mazen above) is a member of Women in Black. Daughter Dana is active in Machsom Watch and was part of a demonstration that called then-IDF chief of staff Dan Halutz a murderer in 2006.

Does anyone think they won't be there?

I wonder how many of these idiots live in Sderot, Ashkelon, Beersheva, Ashdod?

It is different when you are living in safety, a lot different.

Israel's leftists are by and large Ashkenazi Jews. They don't care if mostly Sephardic Jews living in Sderot and development towns suffer and die. All they want to do is save their own skins. Their fellow Jews - and the security of the country - be damned!

I wonder what Golda Meir would think.

War is a necessary evil. No decent person wants war but those who do not respect the lives of the neighbors and seek harm to them - and whom diplomacy has failed to stop - must be overcome with all the force at one's disposal. As the Roman historian Tacitus observed, "to have peace, prepare first for war." It is a truism that wars end a conflict but only if they are won decisively. That is now the biggest test facing Israel.

Do they mean like these women?:

We, the martyrdom-seeking women of Palestine, mothers as well as girls, are waiting impatiently for them to come. Allah willing, we will make them taste bitterness, if they move even an inch into our beloved Gaza Strip.

"I am the mother of two martyrs, and I will sacrifice myself as a martyr, Allah willing. I will turn my blood into bombs that will burn them. In every Palestinian home, a time bomb will await them. There will be days of battle between us, and this will be our opportunity to avenge our sons whom they have bombed, and the blood of the 400 martyrs who were killed in the headquarters. I am waiting for them.

We are all the daughters of Palestine, the daughters of steadfast Gaza. We will set out, booby-trapped. From every home, a bomb will set out, and it will explode among the sons of Zion. We are no less than Fatima Al-Najjar and Rim Al-Riyashi [two Palestinian women who blew themselves up among Israelis]. We will blow ourselves up among those traitors, those apes and pigs."

1. Why hasn't anyone in the Kenesset called Olmert to task for the tratorous actions of his wife & daughter?
2. Will Barak have the guts to label Olmert's wife, daughter & the other Leftists traitors? This is what he called nationalist "Hilltop Youth.
3. Will the police use the same level of 'disproportionate force' against these traitors as they used against "Hilltop Youth"?
4. Will the courts rule that the Left can fly terrorist flags? Well, this one is a no brainer.

The ladies are correct. Israel is becoming a paranoid nation. This war is for politics. All that Hamas doing is throwing tantrums and israeli politicians are making big capital out of it. what is sad about this is common ppl succumb to this politics game and loose the whole point. sad.
