10 of Irvine 11 going on trial

Ten of the eleven students who disrupted a talk by Israel's ambassador to the United States Michael Oren nearly two years ago are finally going on trial for conspiracy to disturb a meeting and disturbing a meeting. And all over Southern California, mosques are holding prayers for them.
The students from the University of California, Irvine and the University of California, Riverside are set to go on trial Monday. Each is charged with one misdemeanor count of conspiracy to disturb a meeting and one misdemeanor count of the disturbance of a meeting. If convicted, each student could face a sentence of up to a year in jail or lesser punishments, including probation with community service and fines.

Charges against an eleventh student were dropped earlier this month.

“There is no question that these students are being treated like criminals because they’re Muslim,” Kifah Shah, spokesperson for the Stand with the Eleven Campaign, said in a statement on the group's website. The organization also is signing up supporters to attend each court session.

The campaign's website listed six Southern California cities where mosques would hold prayers for the students on August 29.
Uh no. They're going on trial because they allegedly committed a crime (two of them in fact) and if they are convicted, hopefully they will go to jail.

On the one hand, 'conspiracy to disturb a meeting' does kind of seem like a bullshit charge.

On the other hand, I do kind of hope they get convicted, mostly because it will discourage other Palestinian supporters from acting in their usual intimidating and aggressive manner.

Just think of it this way. UC San Diego has a snack bar called "Che Cafe". I can guarantee you that the "University of California" will make sure their students hear all about this and that these MSA students will be presented as martyrs and heroes. Maybe they will get a snack bar named after them. The UCSD alumni association took down a discussion thread on their Linked In group page regarding the annual weeklong "River to the Sea" Anti-Israel trade show they have every Spring. While leaving up threads and announcements about alumni softball games and job postings from years back, they took down the controversial topic, saying it is no longer timely, since the event had occurred the week before. So you can count on the University of California to do their best to educate their young students as Marxist-Caliphate adherents, just as UCSD Prof. Herbert Marcuse planned out, and then to make sure their alumni never get a chance to learn the full picture, of Che murdering people in Africa and anywhere else he went, nor of the MSA and their Muslim Brotherhood masters. This court thing is a complete joke as long as they let them keep doing the same things over and over.

The UCI charges are actually not accurate. They didn't "disturb" a meeting, they actually prevented a university sponsored speaker from speaking. These special political charges are ridiculous. Why not use "disturbing the peace" or "tresspassing"... Post a sign at the entrance when people enter that says, By entering this room, the entrant accepts these rules.... and if the rules are not adhered to, the perp will be removed, arrested, charged in court with "disturbing the peace", etc., with potential jail time. Make it really graphic with, Yelling "don't tase me, bro" will not save you from the taser. The reason this goes on is that the universities agree with these people and want the drama so that their students become marxist caliphate adherents.

the 10th had charges dropped because he took a plea and did community service

http://www.irvine11.com/

the above is the website that has been set up for them and their supporters

i suggest reading it

if their cause was righteous, their supporters would not have to constantly lie and obfuscate the facts of the case

and i am bothered that socal mosques set up a prayer session for these thugs....kinda goes right into the face of polls that say american muslims do not support radical islam

the msu is all about radical islam, jew hating, race baiting, etc

unless their attys can point to another similar case, where charges were not brought...they have no defense

they wont go to prison...but for the next month, they will be made very uncomfortable

i hope they all get community service...not at a soup kitchen (like their comrade did) but at a jewish old age home, which are plentiful in that area

let them be forced to serve old jews....teach them humility
